About the
Muscle Car and Classic Car
Appraisal Specialist

Randy
Peck has loved muscle cars all of his life. His goal was to deal in classic and collector muscle cars. He has a broad range of
muscle car and classic car experience that would make him an ideal candidate to perform
muscle car and classic car appraisals and
muscle car and classic car inspections for you.
Muscle Car Experience
Growing up:
Randy helped his father restore a number of collector muscle cars during his teenage years. His father was one of
the founding members of the Itasca Vintage Car Club which is still in existence today. He was actively involved with his
father in muscle car club activities and learned to appreciate the diversity and beauty of classic cars at an early age.
Late 1980's:
Randy purchased a 1987 Buick Turbo Regal which he modified to show car condition. He has won a number of
trophies from local muscle car and classic car shows. As the owner of this unique muscle car, he formed a club
to unite owners of one of the fastest U.S. production cars produced in 1984-1987 - the Buick Grand Nationals,
T-Types and Turbo Regals. He served as president of this club, the Minnesota Grand National and T-Type Association
(MGNTA). At it's peak, the club had over 100 members. Eventually the club expanded to include Buick Gran Sport
enthusiasts. The club is still in existence today.
Current Muscle Car Activity:
After
taking a break from car activities for
a few years, in 2003 he purchased a 1970 Buick GS 455
convertible. The muscle car had structural issues and he worked with a number of local Buick experts to correct the problems,
including taking off the front clip and realigning everything, removing the inside of the muscle car and updating the
wiring, and restoring the convertible top.
In 2004 he sold the convertible and purchased a 1971 Buick GSX replica. The muscle car was set
up as a drag car and he restored it to its original condition. He helped rebuild the motor, updated the wiring harness
for the dash and engine compartment, took out the entire interior and replaced the sound detonator, carpet and
door panels, and moved the battery from the trunk to the front.
In 2005 he purchased a 1995 C4 Corvette with 25,000 miles. This classic car was mint. He purchased
it to have a fun classic car to drive around that did not require any restoration. Randy spends his free time
studying various muscle car and classic car publications to gain knowledge on collectible cars.
In November of 2006, Randy took an extensive four day Classic Car Appraisal Workshop at
Hooked On Classics in Watertown,
MN, and obtained certification to
inspect and
appraise cars. The course was instructed by Daryl Kirk who is on the
board for the
N.A.D.A. and helps establish muscle car and classic car values found in the
NADA Classic, Collectible and Special Interest Car Appraisal Guide & Directory.
Randy is also certified to perform
muscle car appraisals and
classic car appraisals for
Automobile Inspections, L.L.C.
