The Market: I've attended the Barrett-Jackson, Mecum, and Carlisle Auto Auctions. I also visit all the classic car
websites daily and feel based on the results, the market has dropped slightly but the detailed classic cars are still
selling quickly and bringing good money. In my opinion now is the time to buy because like everything else, things are
going to go back up. Classic cars make great investments and are really fun to own. The 1963 Monterey you are about
to see is a great car for a great price!
The Description: Where do I begin? Driving a 1963 Mercury Monterey is indescribable. A very nice "driver" car, it
"floats". It's an extremely solid car that gets attention. And the chrome really makes it shine! This model is unique
with the breezeway power back window.
Overall, the panels are very straight. The front and rear passenger could use some adjustment to tighten the gaps. The
paint is in fair condition with a few chips, cracking and scratches. The rear driver's side has some soft spots on
the bottom. With a fresh paint job, this car would look like new.
The interior is very nice and totally original condition. The seats have the original plastic protection installed by
the first owner. All the chrome and stainless inside is in excellent condition with no pitting. The dash face and
gauges are clear and read correctly. All of the interior lights work. The floor mats look like new. The trunk is
clean and has the spare and jack.
The motor is numbers matching. The motor sounds great. This Monterey runs excellent! You can take it anywhere. The
undercarriage is very solid and has the original factory rust proofing.

- The front visors need to have the piping stitched.
- The clock does not work.
